Fleurie
This wine has inherited all the rich flavours of its terroir’s flower strewn spring.
Its velvety texture, elegance and fruity and floral aromas inveigle at the first sip. From its depths waft iris, violet, fully blown rose, peach, black currant and red fruit aromas.
In its beautiful carmine robe this is often considered to be the most feminine of the Beaujolais Crus.
Maybe this is down to the “Madone de Fleurie” who, perched at the top of her hill, embraces the surrounding countryside and vines with her protective gaze.
